Orange and Gold, A Winning Combo

Excellent budget pistol mani.  I picked up Orly’s Glitz (which the internet tells me is actually called Glitz and Glamour, but the label just says Glitz) at the Sally’s extra-clearance sale.  It’s a brassy gold, so brassy that I was a little concerned that it would be unwearable.  But then I set it next to Sinful Colors’ Courtney Orange, which I picked up during the crazy Walgreen’s Sinful Colors sale this spring.  When placed next to orange, the brassiness of Glitz looks downright… right.

The formulas of both colors were fine.  Not great, not bad.  Glitz is a foil so it hugs the nail and shows imperfections.  Two careful coats mostly takes care of that.  Mostly.  Coutney Orange is a bit sheer, but not streaky.  There’s just a bit of visible nail line after 2 coats, but I didn’t feel like piling on a third just for that little bit.
