Blizzard Blue Glitter Pistol Mani

I picked up a lovely blue that’s unlike any of my other blues.  And considering how many blues I own, that’s saying something.  This is Sally Hansen’s Xtreme Wear in Blizzard Blue.  Unfortunately the camera doesn’t pick it up well, so the most accurate color representation is in a crappy cell phone pic.

Blizzard Blue Track Lighting

Four coats of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear’s Blizzard Blue. Two coats of China Glaze’s Lorelei’s Tiara on pointer and thumb. All topped with Seche Vite.

This polish is a lovely sky blue with a luminescent aqua-green sheen.  The formula is sheer and would probably look stunning over black, but four layers of the sheer polish on its own created a beautiful inner glow.  For kicks I did another pistol mani, because I just can’t get enough of a good pistol mani.  I discovered that the smattering of blue glitter in China Glaze’s Lorelei’s Tiara is a perfect match.  Lorelei’s Tiara is a perfect China Glaze glitter, by the way.  Superb coverage, superb blend of shades, absolutely top notch.

Blizzard Blue 1

Sally Hansen’s Blizzard Blue with China Glaze’s Lorelei’s Tiara. The green color shift was not picked up by this camera in any lighting.  The car is Hot Wheels’ Torque Twister.

Sally Hansen’s Blizzard Blue, sans green shift. Shown with China Glaze’s Lorelei”s Tiara.

Blizzard Blue Sun

I have no idea why my standard camera couldn’t pick up the green glow. Direct sun is closer to reality, but still washed out.
